Del's right about being involved politically. This is probably the most important vote coming this fall that many will ever see in their life time. This socialist regimen in power in Washington has to be defeated! We find ourselves in a serious situation in this country and those who can't see it have their heads in the sand.

As for Democrats, Jimmy Carter pretty much broke a lot of folks down here from EVER voting (D) again. Obama has nothing in common with me or my family, and does not stand for a lot of things that my family and I believe in.

At least Carter teaches Sunday School and liked the Allman Brothers. I can't name a single thing policy- wise I share a common view of with our current president. Not one thing.

I also think that he is smart enough to know that if he makes a frontal assault on gun ownership he will lose politically and so anything he does will be through the back door and try and keep it under the radar of the general public.

I also think that the primary reason he isn't acting on his convictions is the political power of the NRA and its supporters.

As for the political commentators - their more interested in earning a buck than informing the general public.

Arcamedies, suggest you pick up the last issue or two of "American Hunter", can't remember which one, but the Obama administration is quietly working behind the scenes to align the US with a global "small arms control" agreement that isn't just about machine guns. Still think Obama is not a threat??

That is all after you called many of us "ignorant rednecks", calling christians and republicans "a-holes", freaked out at people for calling you bubb, calling us "weak minded" and my favorite - "hypocritical a-holes". This did start off about gun control, but hunting is very closely related to gun control. I know you disagree with most people on this site, that is find and invited. But there are ways that people can express their views without being a jerk. Just express your views in a polite fashion and everybody will give you the same respect. Keep your views coming, just more respectful (not everybody was respectful back, but you didn't really deserve respectful responses in return).
