Q:
This morning I bagged a large 8 pt without firing a shot. I was driving over to my dog kennel and spotted this big buck laying in the grass just a few yards off the highway. A vehicle had broken both hind legs and he could not run. Police put him out of his missery and gave me a salvage tag. Will post photos in a few miutes? You can click my name to see him and tell me what you think he will score?

I think he will be in the 125-135 C&T (Car & Truck) range. He should make some dandy backstrap steaks for dinner! I always hate it when someone hits a deer with their car and doesn't take care of it themself. People do this all the time where I live and we always end up having to do it for them. Such a shame.
Well, I'm glad that you and the Police officer at least had the sense to put him out of his misery. Thanks for doing the right thing.
What good luck for you.. not so much for the buck. I hope you put the meat to good use. Glad you and the police officer did the right thing
Good to hear you did the right thing. Its shame to lose a buck like that to traffic. He could have been something in the next few years.
I am always too late to do antyhing it seems, by the timr I see them thet have been run over several times!
sorry for typo's needed to turn on the light :(
i am going to say 138 del
he'll score 126 3/4. Nice ford wrangler buck.
I saw a huge half racked road killed buck on the Muskogee Turnpike Saturday morn, his other half had been crushed. With the mass and all the points, the one side looked to score close to 70. Had it been a full rack it would of been hard to obey the law and leave it lay, as you can not take road killed deer on OK roadways. My luck, I would of took the deer then been ticketed.
