Q:
Saturday Beekeeper shot a mature rooster pheasant that had no spurs at all. Have any of you folks ever seen a spurless Rooster? It was the first one for me.

Maybe it is a new breed. Sort of like a Polled Hereford. Glad you all had a good time. All the best.

I have heard of it before but not experienced it myself. In Montana cleaned birds must be transported with one leg attached. Not only will this indicate the sex but the age. Wonder what they would do in this case?

I shot a bearded hen turkey the other year, but I have not killed too many pheasants to have seen that. I emailed Bee yesterday, but he is probably trying to catch up from his trip. Glad it worked out! NOS but how is Wesley and his brother these days? Any plan to spread a little more Christmas hunting cheer?

I have seen them in the past. Not a typical situation but it does happen. They are still tasty though!

I'll try an post the picture which is a little fuzzy. Del's buddy Dan who is a taxidermist immediately confiscated it from me so that he can mount the bird.
