Question by coyote killer. Uploaded on May 09, 2010
Tap two quarters together and in makes a squirrel sound.
I use nickles, holding one flat in one palm and striking it with the other. one flat the other straight up. Sounds just like squirrel bark.
I have used a basic rabbit distress call before like you would use for coyotes. Squirrels are very curious creatures and will often come down out of a tree to find our what's going on. I have done some squirrel hunting before with a bow (sometimes when the deer aren't showing up) and once a squirrel is shot and makes the squealing noise two or three others will show up right beside him to see whats wrong.
did not know that about the coins. that's why ilike this site.
my grandpa bought one pretty simple its hard plastick it has what looks like saw teeth along the side and a hard plastic "striker" for lack of a better word. rub the striker down the side it also has holes to put the feet through so its also a carrying device...
Try tapping two palm sized rocks together. It works great to imitate a squirrels bark. Good Luck!
just buy one
