In what battle was General J.E.B. Stuart killed by a union private with a revolver?

At Yellow Tavern in 1864.

Yes and he died the next day before his wife could get there to see him at the end. The private that fired the fatal shot was killed in another battle only a few weeks later. I have several books on the civil war one of them has the complete story with the name of the private. However at the moment I can't find the book. Gen Stuarts saddle, uniform, revolvers and much of his gear are in a War museum in Richmond, VA.

According to my book "Commanders of the Civil War" byWilliam C. Davis it is the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond. The book has a photo of his uniform and gear.
