Who among us has made a new friend and actually met for a hunting or fishing trip? So far Bee and I have gone pheasant hunting in Western KS. Next fall we plan to elk hunt in Colorado with WAM.
Question by Del in KS. Uploaded on February 21, 2010
That's neat Del. Maybe you guys can come up to WI sometime. Anything but deer hunting. Seems like everybody is a "hunter" on opening day. Gets downright crowded out there! That's why I like small game and turkeys.
On private land south of Craig near Hamilton. We are hunting 2nd Rifle Combined season. Our group has hunted there for 9 years I think. I have only hunted there 5 years. This will be my 6th year and I think Lance's 9th year, but he skipped at least 2 that I know of , 2008 and one before 2004, don't remember which year since I wasn't there. The 3rd Season would be my preference, but the owner and family hunts 3rd season and there are no deer tags in 4th season usually. Last year was the only year I did not get a shot on an elk. My turn in the barrel.
I posted 2 times to try to get people to post where they are from so they can meet up and do things like that. So far I think I fail at that, there was a few I remember from MN and TENN. I wish they do meet up because you might end up being great friends!
No Clay it is not a date, although maybe you might need one, but with your attitude, not at my camp.
I see this as networking. Have you noticed what some of the game people have gotten? I have, and I would like to get that opportunity..
OHH= moose and geese
DEL=pheasants/deer
WAM= elk
Sourdoughdave=Antelope
and the list goes on...Why would I waste this valuable asset and get a outfitter that cannot produce? these guys have and most are DIY... So I like to say networking and then when the plans have been made I will use the word, date, or as my folks told me, set in stone. I hope your feeling better Clay, you seem to be out of it.
I havent had the opportunity yet but would certainly be interested. Hopefully F&S will add an upgrade that will allow members to contact one another via email. Lots of Ohioans on here and I might even meet up with theat dreaded Meeechigan man, Matt someday.
Clay, guess you dont know when to stop stirring the pot. Geeeez.
Hey Kenton..you bet! heck maybe we could even hunt or fish if we quit picking on one another long enough haahha
and we definatley can not tell any of my alumni freinds I might get beat down. LOL
good stuff! and ya know.. crabbing I did that in Portland ORg. man what fun! but ya know SEC folk they might spoil, and I dont like spoiled bait..heheheh
what about them huskies or your by Spokane so you might root for Bosie or the bozeman folks??
He he he! No farging way! I am a Crimson Tide alumni as is my better half, so not very likely to root for any of those guys! Boise State has a great football program, but the Dawgs and Cougars are just plain sorry....both of them... I have a Washington Huskies Rose Bowl 1992 sweatshirt that I wear once in a while to irritate some of my WA State Cougar friends or to do yardwork in.
I'm not going to say too much since DEL is from Florida and I forgot to ask if he is a Seminole or Gator fan. I hope neither! He could be a pretty big ol' boy and might whup my a$$ if I say too much here.
I would make a long list but I don't want any comparisons made with other bloggers so here is a link that might provide some friendly education as far as UGA's bowl history goes. Seems like some where in the back of my mind UGA beat some big Catholic school for a National Championship about 1980 or so...
As for the North Avenue Trade School aka GA Tech, they are not on my radar... it seems as if they have a National championship and also have attended a few bowl games as well...
Sorry to double post but here is the cliff notes version...LOL!
The Georgia Bulldogs have played in 45 bowl games and have a record of 26–16–3 (.602). On the all-time lists, the Bulldogs are sixth for bowl appearances and tied for third for bowl game victories
WAM My uncle F. Jackson was the very first Q-back at FSU right after WWII. He quit the team when it became apparent he could not work 2 jobs make practice and classes. They did not have free rides for football players then. FSU was all girls until the war ended. There was 500 men in his class and something like 7000 women. Uncle met and married a beauty they have been together something like 60 years. He is 85 now and still a rabid Noles fan. Here in KS we root for the (currently #1 in men's hoops) Kansas Jayhawks. Right now they are the favorite for another national title. The Jayhawks won their 56th straight home game last night.
