Amen, FirstBubba. It has been many years since I quit smoking, but I still carry a Bic around with me, especially when I'm in the woods. Even when you aren't in a "survival" situation, they're handy to light candles, fires in the fireplace and to burn the ends of nylon cord, etc.

Only thing with the Bic is they don't work well wet. But, then, neither does a Zippo!
I keep one Bic in my "hunting backpack" all snug in a zip-loc with a fist full of toilet paper! It stays there year round unless it's needed!

I carry a brass Zippo in my pocket and a Bic in my pack. I also take a ferro rod and storm matches too. You can never have to many ways to make fire.

I keep several stainless steel peanut lighters in my various packs. Not only are they small, they are air tight which means they will still light after extended immersion and the lighter fluid won't dry out. I bought mine from www.countycomm.com at about $12 each.
