Q:
What is the deal with Zombie this and Zombie that? I mean everywhere you look there are things for the Zombie Apocalypse. Am I missing something here? If the end of the world does happen like the Mayans (extinct civilization) says it will do we really have to be concerned about Zombies? It will be the end of the world!!! From gun cases to bullets to air rifles the list goes on and on and on. Are you worried about the Zombies coming to get you? Are the bullets and gear that I already have not going to take care of the Zombies, do I have to spend more money to kill Zombies(wife would find no humor in this at all let me tell you)??? Help I need advice I am concerned!!!

It's just a marketing ploy man. Marketing execs realized that people are more likely to buy something if they put "Zombie survival" on the package.

From what I've been reading, vampire movies are "out" and zombie movies are "in."
Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolf Man and the Mummy are old hat.
The monster of the month seems to be the zombie, and at the local gun shops, targets with a picture of Osama Bin Laden are becoming collectors' items.
Get with the program, mon!

That's what I'm talking about! What is it with all this zombie and vampire crap? I was just telling a fellow shooter that as this U.N. Small Arms Treaty thing gains traction, the specialized zombie targets will be replaced with targets depicting jack booted thugs wearing blue helmets.

I'm with you. I'm sick of the zombie thing. Things don't have to have fancy names or rediculous catch phrases to work well. Remember the good ole days when you bought something simply because it was well built and served a purpose?

I kinda see it as a marketing joke. Supposedly zombies are hard to kill and if some thing can kill a zombie, it could kill anything else, I guess.

It is about the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Someone wants to know what is the "best" Zombie rifle. Get real.

It is a thing to attract buyers, wanting to get something for show and tell. It isn't such a bad thing, either. If you were a 10 year old boy, would you want your first gun to be a wood stocked .22 that didn't look like anything special, or a green gun that had "The Zombie Slayer" plastered on the side of it? If it can attract younger people to the sport of shooting or hunting in a fun way, then why not do it? just my two cents.

Well, if you think about it, after the zombies take over, commerce, small business, and otherwise, will also be taken over by zombies. They will begin to manufacture the bullets. Current ammunition, weapon, and gear manufacturers are just preparing in advance for the change in ownership by rebranding all their merchandise with the future "ZOMBIE" name. They're just thinking ahead. Who can blame them, really?

Most likely, the world will not end as the Mayans predicted. Think about it, they had never even heard of zombies. That's just ridiculous. Who hasn't heard of zombies? The Mayans.

The part that's confusing to me is as follows: why will the zombies continue manufacturing the bullets that would later be their demise. We know they will; that's a given. But why? I suppose for the same reason that humans do so currently. The world is a confusing place. I always assumed it would be less so once the zombies took over. I guess I was wrong.

I probably better start buying up all the zombie gear I can so that the future zombie overlords will see that I have brand loyalty to their products and will have mercy on me.

They are big in Hollywood I think because they don't offend people. They make the perfect bad guys for film makers and marketing types. It also is a reason to buy more fun stuff "supplies".

As long as you're wearing your Bone Collector underwear while shooting a Bone Collector firearm you took out of your Bone Collector case dressed in full Bone Collector camo you'll be OK.

Zombies are very real. They haunt the halls of the U.S. Congress, and many of them have infiltrated into the State, county and local bureaucracies. Some even inhabit the Answers and Message Boards sections on F&S.
Actually, due to convoluted and misguided laws, these creatures are not legal to shoot, stab, club, nor even in archery season, unless they invade your premises in an enlightened State that has a Castle Doctrine Law.
Be afraid. Be Very Afraid. And keep your powder dry, and one hand on your wallet!
