I do not remember the date of the article, but I do remember the article itself. If you find it, great, but I would also recommend getting the set of Bowyers Bibles- three volumes, I think. I have two of them and they have great detailed instructions on building all kinds of bows, arrows, and other primitive gear. They are $15 or $20, but well worth the $$$. Good luck!
I googled those subjects and got all kinds of free info that can be printed out.
