Q:
Does anyone know if Ford is going to role out the new Bronco? The picture I came across the rear looked OK for departing something steep but the front was to low, much lower than the original Bronco reminding me of the new jeeps approach clearance. Stupid City Folks!

From what I'm seeing it was a concept vehicle/ engineering exercise. Don't think it's going to see the light of day.

I had a '75 with a 302/automatic in it. I should have never sold it.

One of the many vehicles I should have never sold was an '82 Bronco that I put in a new 351 engine a year or so before I sold it 10 years ago. I keep trying to buy it back from the gentleman I sold it to. He only uses it to pull his boat to the lake and back and has only put 20,000 miles on it!

Even the Bronco II's were pretty sweet. We had 2 and used to take them up old trails in the mountains. Mine went through the same stuff the jeepers would hit. Only had trouble with the clutch losing fluid.

Ye gads man! Take a 4X4 off road... good heavens one might scratch it! I wish someone would make something like the old International Scout. Used to have one with railroad iron welded across the front. It was a pure tank!

Dplummer,
I have a Bronco II at our farm now. It could be yours for a nominal fee. Bring a stout rope........

Beekeeper,
I have often wondered why someone didn't take the basic Scout design and carry it forward. I had one (a '70 with a Ford 302 swapped into it) and my Dad had a '75 Scout II. Both were tough as hell. I have had Jeeps too. There was something about a Scout though.

I would love to see the Bronco or Scout II revived! Those are the only vehicles I would consider getting rid of my truck for.
