One of the OLD Range Rovers ( The RED ONES) that the PH's had Africa in the 50's. (If you can find one)

Having said that I have a Chevy S-10 Crew Cab 4WD that never fails. The only thing I don't like is the short bed. I do like the MPG 25 @ 55 Highway. ( I did that on a 300 mile trip last summer when gas was $4.00 and change).

I have owned 4 Chevys, 1 Ford, 1 IHC Scout (totalled by son grrr...) and they have all been good outfits. I have one Chev Z71 with 286,000 miles and still going strong and my son has my old Chevy with 320,000 miles on it. I personally don't like the looks of any of the new pickups.

Chevy/GM (Government Motors) got in bed with the White House to take our hard earned tax dollars, Ford didn't. GM is part of the reason your unborn grandchild is already in debt. Ford isn't.

I have had stellar service from all of the Ford products I've ever had. We(my family) had two IH Scouts and a Chevy Suburban that were excellent also.
+1 for Ford not taking a bailout.

Well in a sense I feel a little bitter over the bailout... they should've gone back to the basics and the teachings of Lee Iacoka (sorry bout the mispelling if I did) he brought that company back from worse without a bail out.
They could've went bankrupt and bounced back .
I like their trucks 100% The Power Wagon, 3500 and 2500 Series. I don't like the fact they let Cummins get purchased by Ford.. Bad move, and they did away with the Engines Dodge was known for 318, 360, 440 and 383 all offered in trucks.. The Hemi brought sales up but their marketing is lagging behind Ford. Like Ford they should've kept their desigantors D-150, D-250 etc.

But I owned and 86 D-150 and with a 318 with a Holley 2 bbl and 727 TF Auto Tranny and It was awesome... 8 foot bed solid built and Ram Tough. Whether hauling firewood, trailers etc.

Now I own an 04 Dakota 3.7L , Manual Tranny Awesome Truck as well. It's been very reliable and I've kept up on maintenance with it.

I like the new body style and it is emulated throughout the truck industry to include Ford, Chevy, Toyota.. So I'm happy with that.

Lets not forget Lifetime Powertrain Warrenty

Remember 7yr /70K mile Warrenty Dodge led with that in the 80's.

The reality check is there is no perfect truck.. accept the one you own and that works for what you need to do.

No, Ford did not take bailout money. They have been too busy donating to and supporting Gay and Lesbian rights to have time to screw the taxpayer! Buy GM, maybe they can pay back the bailout !

In recent tests the FORD F-150with it's tough fully boxed frame won more awards than all the cheap "C" channel frame "pretenders".
