1976 Chevy Camarro type LT. 350 4 bolt main, 60 over, 350 turbo. A bunch of other mods. To much for a 16 year old speed freak. Needless to say I lost my license for 90 days about 60 days after getting them. I'm 32 now and have finally slowed down. $250 a month insurance rates will do that for you.
'04 jeep wrangler....right now its catching going from first to second so i may have some issues, i gotta get to a transmission shop first opportunity i get.
1966 Buick Special 4-door with 229 cu-in V6 manual transmission and three on the column. The 'Special' meant nothing powered and no AC. It was my adventure vehicle for going hunting and for dates. Had to install a radio and add an 8-track tape player. Affectionately called 'The Bomb' by my friends...
Sticknstringarchery Those are nice cars the second generation Camaros aren't they. Isn't the LT the Camaro without the little fin on the back? My Camaro now currently has a 383 in it,I'm still working on it .
Johnathan- The LT's had the spoiler. It was the fully loaded A/C car. My A/C never had a belt on it though. Drained to much power. Also had the 3/4 Vinyl top. went up the a pillars and stopped at the back of the side windows. Yes they are awesome cars. I will have another one. I want a 70 SS 454 Split front bumper car in deep Green. Mine was a Deep Copper Metallic with a tan top. I like the later Gen 2 also.
1958 Chevy Bel Air, 283 with a 2 speed, drive and low, "Sourglide" automatic transmission. (It was actually called Powerglide but the old timers called it sourglide)
'71 Ford Custom
Broken gas gauge
Heater stuck on and on HIGH (really fun at 100+ degrees outside)
Seats falling apart
The bed had more rust than paint on it
But there was nothing wrong with the radio!
1953 Chev Bel Air four door sedan. First year they put the powerglide transmission and 235 six with hydraulic lifters in Chevrolet. That transmission hung around until around 1968 (albeit in aluminum rather than the original cast iron housing). Many dragsters still use powerglides. That car was made in late 1952, just about the time I was born. I bought it from an old retired train conducter from our church. He had bought it a few years earlier from the widow of the original owner, also part of our congregation (although I don't remember him).
Ableskeever, in 1973 I just about met my maker in one of those big '71 Ford Customs. I was passenger in military police patrol car when my patrol partner lost control and wrapped it around an oak tree at about seventy mph. Dang glad he hit that tree dead center and the car had such a long front end.
1941 Chevy pickup. Had a lot of fun with that truck. I later restored it and put a 350 engine in it with a four speed, 410 rear and leather interior. A disabled friend begged me to sell it to him so I did.
Sticknstringarchery If your gonna be getting a first gen you better be ready to cough up some serious cash. Even one in bad condition costs mega bucks, but i have to say first gens are my favorite.
Jonathan- a 1970 is a second gen. It was the first year of the second gen. They have a slightly different look than the later second gen cars do. I do like the first gen also but I have to say the 70 is my favorite. To find one that is numbers matching to restore back to original or close is still going to cost a small fortune. I wont mind once I am done with school and in a good paying job.
The first gens went through the first part of 1970, that year the model year was extended. Just as clarification for those who don't know model years are different than calendar years, model years begin in august and end in the following years september (I think) and for the year of the 1970 camaro some are first and some are second. The only reason i know this is because i just did a research paper on the subject so i can see how we could have misscomunicated.

ok this thing is starting to really confuse me. That last one reposted from yesterday. Anyways, I stand corrected. It would be the 70-1/2 that I like so much. I forgot Chevy did that. The last of the 69 was 69-1/2 though wasn't it.
I don't remember for sure Sticknstringarchery you may be correct on that. Also you aren't the only one with that problem of reposting, on this other question somehow this guy reposted 5 times with one click and didn't know what happened.
