I have everything in my work truck. Virtually every thing that a carpenter and equipment operator would use every day. My favorite thing that I carry daily is my 22 mag rifle. Lots of fun at lunch if we're working out of town.

I normally keep a Buck folding knife, matches, tinder, compass, flexible saw, jumper cables, bungee cords, a few tools, some granola bars in the truck.
On the morning I leave on a trip, I usually bring a daypack with prescribed meds, a change of dry socks, a spare hat or cap and other clothing, a little Canon digital camera, a red or blue bandana, and a sidearm with three 7-round magazines.
