STEPS
[1] Cut a triangular piece of shrink-wrap long enough to wrap three times around your rod. The width of the base should extend slightly beyond the foot of the guide.
[2] Cut off the threads and foot of the broken guide with the razor.
[3] Select an appropriate-sized replacement.
[4] Tape the new guide to the rod blank.
[5] Wrap one foot with shrink-wrap.
[6] Heat with a hair dryer. You'll need electricity, so swing by a gas station or 24-hour mart. They'll usually let you plug into an outlet.
[7] Repeat on the second guide foot.
