is a snap. Echos are aggressive and easy to handle. My saw did not bog down even on gnarly oaks.

Great article - I'm still a tried and true Stihl user. I've ran many different saws, and there is a distinct difference between a Stihl and the others. Currently running a MS310 w/20" bar - it will cut anything you put it on top of!
I grew up with, own and prefer Stihl.
They're hard workin saws and are user friendly.
Husqvarnas are good too.
It is always good to hear the reports from users of a good saw. It is kind of like talking about cars or trucks, right? I am a tried a true ECHO user, but haven't had to buy a new saw for about 32 years. My old EVL 400 is still cutting up a storm. No time in the shop, AT ALL.
I replace the bar and chain when needed and keep it clean and maintained. The only down side is that it is louder than the new saws. Thats OK with me, though, because everyone knows it me cutting!
I really like the Echo.It's a lot of saw for the money.
Shindaiwa is my new company of choice. Am surprised they were not in this round up. Extremely powerful and reliable. I've used Husk. & Stihl in the past and I really don't think they hold a candle to Shindaiwa in this class of chain saws.
Iam A Stilh Man but the Echo sounds like a really good saw.
