Fans of rear-drag spinning reels would do well to check out the Mitchell Copperhead models 40 and 20 ($39.99), with line capacities of 190 yards of 12-pound and 120 yards of 10-pound standard mono respectively. In Europe, where rear-drag reels reign, the design recently won Best of Show for such features as elliptical oscillation (which evens out line winding on the spool), counter-balanced handles, an oversized anti-twist line roller and instant anti-reverse. Gearing is 5.6:1 on the MCH 40; 5.1:1 on the MCH 20.
