For no more than the price of a good factory rifle, you can design a gun that is yours and yours alone. By the time you choose among 80 chamberings, three types of stocks, chrome-moly or stainless-steel barrels, right- or left-hand, four action lengths, six barrel contours, and much more, there are 100,000 possible combinations, weighing anywhere from 61⁄2 to 8 pounds. Shaw uses modified Savage AccuTrigger actions for the Mark VII. It’s a very simple rifle, and the work is uniformly excellent.
Does it shoot? Oh my, does it shoot! The worst groups it turned in at 100 yards were 11⁄2 inch; most averaged an inch or less. I frequently shot spreads that hovered around the 1⁄2-inch mark. If that isn’t good enough for you, go see Kenny Jarrett and bring a lot more money than the Mark VII costs. --David E. Petzal

I read the F&S article about these rifles. I want one BAD! Dave, if your taking Christmas ideas, I'd like mine just like the one above in 25-06. Otherwise, I'll have to wait a few years. Sounds like a helluva gun for the money.
Gee, and only for the price of two or three of the "best new knife" pics!
I just ordered one in 338 win mag for an Alaskan fall black bear hunt next year. It was great to be able to customize the gun to the barrel type and length best suited to hiking up salmon streams.
I think it's a little hinky to have a "buy it" link. At the very least, a little tacky.
The "buy it" link is great. If you want it buy it, if you don't ignore it. Saves time by not having to google it.
Looks like we had an anti-gun-nut on this site. I tried to correct the negatives.
Too bad I've spent my rifle 2006-2010 allowance or I'd order it today. Looks like a great rifle.
I really like the spiral fluting ..make mine a stainless in 300 Wby , 24 inch barrel, a checkered nutmeg stock with blackened forend tip and a limbsaver or pachmyr pad ..
Checked into the rifle with a very nice salesman name Chris with ershaw I will order mine as soon as I can decide on the options. Just thought I would let you know the turn around time is 8 to 10 months. worth the wait plus gives time to pay for it.
+1 for martin3175's gun!
