Trophy Bonded bullets have had an enviable reputation as premium projectiles for the past quarter century, but now Federal has greatly improved them by adding a polymer tip, replacing the flat base with a boattail, adding exterior skiving (fracture lines) for improved expansion, and plating both the bullet and the case in nickel, which reduces fouling and eliminates case corrosion. The bonded lead core and heavy solid-copper shank remain unchanged.
I tested TBTs in .30/06 and performance was flawless. Accuracy was much better than with the old TBs; penetration, expansion, and weight retention were superior and extremely consistent from shot to shot. Velocity was actually a bit better than what Federal specified. This is the very definition of premium ammo. Available in .270, .270 WSM, 7mm/08, .280, .308, .30/06, .338 Federal, .300 Win. Mag., and .300 WSM. --David E. Petzal

Awsome.... have been using Trophy bonded soft tips for years in 150 grain; those are hard to come by. Best White Tail cartridge for the big woods. Hope the new tipped are as good!
Sounds really great. Wish they made it in .22-.250 or 6.5x55, only two calibers I shoot.
Tooo expensive...........
The price of "premium" ammo make me so happy I took up reloading. Not that a core-lokt ever let me down.
Even though they say this is the best ammo.. try your rifle out with different ammo to see which shoots better. What is considered best for these guys is the highest priced item and probably shot through the most expensive rifle. I just use ammo I pick up from walmart for my savage 111 30-06 and it works just fine and cost lot less..
At $50-$66 a box reloading looks better and better even with the cost of components going up. Vtbluegrass, I'm glad I reload too.
That looks like not very much for as much money as it is.
