"Great Blue Heron With Great Big Bluegill"

Photo submitted by danno1400

User Description: This is the Blue Heron that taunts me weekly by parading in front of my camera to show me all of my fish that he catches. I think it's payback time when he swallows this huge bluegill.

"Captured the Yes"

Photo submitted by rzwanziger

User Description: On a brisk Saturday morning in April my girlfriend and I hit the woods for some turkeys. We had longbeards gobbling off the roost and headed our way but they caught a glimpse of our movement and turned around. We didn't end up bagging a gobbler that morning but I was able to capture the moment I proposed and she said YES!

"Fully Fluffed Ruff"

Photo submitted by Wolven Kinde

User Description: Just another day on the drumming log in the swamp—from a Nikon L14 homebrew.

"Nice Buck by Anyone's Standards!"

Photo submitted by tmiller075

User Description:
My father and I have been hunting on some private property in LaSalle County Illinois for a few years. We hung trail cameras to find deer travel patterns throughout the area. This impressive and curious buck showed up within a week of hanging the camera. The buck was spotted by my dad during the bow season that followed but he never came within shooting range.

"Beaver at Dusk"

Photo submitted by Willy4003

User Description:
Taken the week of 6/18/13.

"That's a Spicey Crayfish"

Photo submitted by skyhunter44

User Description:
This trail cam picture was captured on a creek near my home in Middletown, NY. Looks like the dripping wet owl went into the water and grabbed the crayfish. Considering the look on the owls face and the flaming red eye, the crayfish likely went down fighting, and as a result the owl got a very hot meal.

"Foggy Bottom"

Photo submitted by johnnyj

User Description: Captured on trail cam but did not see again during fall hunt.

"Thirsty Bear"

Photo submitted by lfsigmon

User Description:
Caught this Bear on trail cam after he took down my deer feeder.

"Breakfast at the pond"

Photo submitted by danno1400

User Description: This Blue Heron taunts me by catching my fish and then poses in front of my camera to make sure I see his catch.

"Twin Fawns Drinking at the Same Time"

Photo submitted by danno1400

User Description:
I have hundreds of twin fawn pictures and hundreds of pictures of a fawn drinking, but this is the only one that I ever got of twins drinking at the same time.

"Facing a Bear"

Photo submitted by Gary Devine

User Description:
In all the years that I have used trail cameras, I have never seen a raccoon come face to face with a black bear.

"Bobcat Close-Up"

Photo submitted by danno1400

User Description: My wife bought a purse with some gaudy fake tails hanging from it that she removed. I took one of those tails and hung it from a tree next to my trailcam. Sure enough this bobcat came in to investigate and I got this nice close-up.

"You Can't Get Me"

Photo submitted by Turkeyhunter1_1

User Description: Before the season started I was getting many buck pictures during the day. Then just before bow season started I was only getting pictures of bucks during the night. I got this picture during the season which put it all in perspective! It was like the deer was taunting me. I never got a buck, but did get a nice doe during bow season.

"Help"

Photo submitted by rehlf

User Description:
OK, will someone please help me down. This is from the camp next door to me. At one of his deer blinds.

"Visit from Coyote"

Photo submitted by Pam Walker

User Description:
Our cam is in the back of our yard. We caught this guy looking over our backyard in the daytime! We were extremely surprised and impressed and so was NH Fish & Game.

"Painted Turtle Vs. Otter"

Photo submitted by jmg05005

User Description: I got this photo in a wetland using my Bushnell trail camera. The painted turtle was basking on this piece of floating vegetation when the otter popped up next to him! The turtle had dove into the water by the next shot and the otter was left staring into the camera.

"How big is he gonna be?"

Photo submitted by Saulegg

User Description: Can't wait to see how big this muley gets!

"Fawn meets Turkey"

Photo submitted by renkoad

User Description: This took place in our Imperial Whitetail Clover food plot. This is one photo in a sequence viewing them together would make them appear as if they are dancing.

"Bright Eyes"

Photo submitted by phonicutt

User Description: I had time wrong for the infrared but made for a cool photo.

"Piebald Buck and Buddy"

Photo submitted by skyhunter44

User Description: I set up this trail cam on a creek crossing near my home in Middletown, NY, and was very surprised to see it had caught a piebald deer that was a buck in the early stages of antler growth.

"Does a Bear Make Love in the Woods?"

Photo submitted by hobiecatrc

User Description: While hunting property outside of Dobbins,Ca We knew there was a bear in the area. We set up 2 tree stands and the trail cam to determine how and when the bear was coming through. Over a week or so we got this picture and many others of 2 bears coming into the orchard. Alas we were never able to get a shot as they never came in while we were on stand only on the day before or after.

"Double Vision"

Photo submitted by scottayer03

User Description: The bucks are lining up to check out my new trail cam!

"Fox Babies Wrestling"

Photo submitted by my3ndl

User Description: These 2 are always messing around and their 3rd sibling is very mellow.

"Fawn on the Ridge"

Photo submitted by Willy4003

User Description: Taken the week of 6/18/13.

Not the picture I expected to see win a trail can contest. I was looking for a picture of a game animal. With that said I do love the picture and have no problem with it winning. Just looking through all the pictures and then the previous two winners and submissions makes me want to get a trail camera or two. So now that I am in the market for a nice trail camera. Any suggestions for a mid priced simple to use camera that takes good pictures. Lastly any suggestions for the use I.w placement of said camera use of bait etc. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Krinehart, I found an Archery Talk website that asked the question, "What is the Best Trail Camera out there"?

Twenty eight commented and some even showed a sample photo from their own trail camera. Check out the link below and read each comment.
Good Luck!

I am much more likely to click on these photo stories now that we can see all the pics on one page!!

'Bout time!

My favorite was the owl. Would have never guessed one would get wet to catch a crawdad.

They are some great photos. Kudos to all who submitted. Clearly most are taken with better quality trailcams than I use!

Really cool pictures. It looks like the coyote from "Visit from Coyote" has some dog mixed in. Maybe a Siberian Husky, based on its eyes and their tendency to wander.
