Q: I was indirectly given some handloads by an older gentleman who has been reloading for quite some time. They all go bang quite nicely, but the .357 mag seem to be loaded pretty hot - feels more like a .44 mag to me. I'm using a Ruger with a 4 in. barrel, so I'm not too concerned with it being too much for the gun, but I and anyone standing within 15 feet have been frequently getting hit by some sort of debris coming from the cylinder. I've never done any reloading so I'm not sure, but it looks like it might be un-burned powder... It's enough to break skin (just little nicks, nothing major) Is this normal for hot loads or should I be concerned? No problems with any factory loads BTW.
