A quick way to make camping enjoyable is to make your own air mattress. Simply bring along a cheap inflatable plastic raft and blow it up. They run about 5 dollars for a pack of 3 "mattresses." Most rafts are the exact length of a sleeping bag and this is an easy way to make your camping/backpaking trip more enjoyable.

One thing that I have noticed when camping whether it is before or after a long day of fishing, hunting, or backpacking, that I always have trouble going to sleep and then wake up with awful pain in my back and my hips. I started talking Tylenol PM or Nighttime Advil and was able to fall asleep quickly and was not sore afterwards even after sleeping on uncomfortable ground.

While deer hunting, or experiencing the great outdoors, I usually carry my cell phone in case of emergencies or I want to check the time. If you have ever had to take a cell phone in for repair, the repairman usually checks a small strip of paper inside the phone to see if moisture of any kind, has gotten inside the phone. This will usually void any repair warranties.

I used to use rubberbands or scotch tape to keep my different tests of fishing lines from unraveling from their spools. Now I used a beer cozy to hold my various lines in and just pull out as much as I need for leaders and what not.

When grinding venision I add one pound Bacon ends to four pounds veision and grind them togather. This makes excellent burges as well as anything else that calls for ground meat. Besides who doesn't like bacon! And bacon end are very inexpensive, easy to find (walmart has them)and usually come in 5lb. packages.
