SOG Shows Off New Knives With Pig-Carving Event

By The Editors

SOG Speciality Knives & Tools held a pig roast to show off their latest line of knives designed specifically for hunters. Guests had an opportunity to test out them by butchering a pair of pigs.

There are 10 knives in this hunting line, from fixed blades used for skinning and boning large game like elk to folders designed for prepping gamebirds.

Steven Rinella, author and host of the Sportsman Channel's "MeatEater" series was at the event. SOG will be partnering with Rinella to promote their latest products.

SOG multi tools are really nice products. They have gear system that really increases the possibilities for using the pliers. I'd be interested to try out one of their knives.

SOG produces high quality tools for sure. One problem a lot of hunters/knife users encounter "where do I get them". Many smaller markets just do not have stores that stock many if any of the top quality knives available today.

The "Online Stores" are often the only source for many buyers. The fact that there are alot of fakes and "Knock Offs" is confirmed by SOG, Cold Steel, Case, and lots of other makers.

Buying from a long established dealer online is very important. One never knows for sure they will really like the fit and feel of the knife until they will hold it in their hand. So, make sure the dealer offers a money back quarantee.

Use Pay Pal or a major credit card for the purchase. Both methods offer buyer protection against fraud. Never send cash. Remember too that a check sent gives all your personal information and has no protection from fraud.

Most important, Know your dealer. I can recommend www.foxqualityknives.com. For obvious reasons. There are others but research them before buying.

Buy the very best quality you can afford. When you "buy quality you only cry once."

When I clicked on pic I expected a demo of their knives doing a pig, that's what I want before I jump in.
Missed opportunity SOG.
