Teens in Hospital After Trying to Run Over Coyote with Truck
By Chad Love
Two Oklahoma teenagers tried to run over a coyote with their truck and ended up rolling it instead, according to a police report.
From this story in the Tulsa World:
Medics transported two Claremore teenagers to a Tulsa hospital after they reportedly tried to run over a coyote. According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Paden Begley, 17, was driving a 1989 dodge truck north on Sunday on old Oklahoma 88 when he saw a coyote running through a sod farm field. Begley then reportedly turned the truck into the field to try to run over the coyote, according to the OHP. The report states that the "coyote took evasive action," and Begley turned the truck sharply to follow the coyote, causing the truck to roll.
According to the story, the teens were not wearing seat belts and were taken to a local hospital where they were listed in stable condition. The coyote is still at large...

...and we are the alpha predator of the world?
Have to watch out for ol' Wile E. Coyote. I wonder if the roadrunner was near by laughing.
2013 and still no cure for stupid.
Love this story. It cracks me up. Kids, hahaha
It's a strange thing how just a few years can change a person. At 17 I'd be in the truck with them. Now at 22, I'd call them stupid and laugh as they rolled. At least they weren't hurt too bad.
Crown Vic's have a lower center of gravity, just sayin'.
I would be "shocked, shocked" if alcohol was a factor.
this is why they should have just had a loaded gun in their truck and this whole situation would have been avoided

Hi...
Idiots...just confirms my thoughts about teenagers...and NO seat belts...?? Too bad that flogging is no longer socially acceptable, eh?
(Hey, as a teenager, I thought that I was the only one who was invincible)...!!
I hope the truck was okay
seems to me that these teens should face a host of charges. They should certainly be cited for reckless driving, reckless endangerment, harassment of wildlife and trespassing.
When we don't hold those accountable for harassing wildlife it makes us as hunters more open to criticism from those who wish to do away with our rights to hunt and fish.
I hope it wasn't a Power Wagon. (In my opinion the best name ever given a vehicle.)
