Fishmonger Finds Live Bomb Inside Squid in China
By Chad Love
This story so obviously begs for a lame calamari joke that I'm just going to play it absolutely straight. A live bomb was recently found inside a squid at a fish market in China. Boom. There you go...
From this story on msn.com:
A fish dealer in the Guangdong province of China found a live bomb while he was gutting a squid at a local market. The bomb, which measured about 8 inches around and weighed 3 pounds, was inside the stomach of the 3-foot-long squid. "This sort of squid lives close to the shore and normally makes a meal of small fish and prawns," explained the fishmonger, who gave his name as Mr. Huang. "Perhaps he thought the bomb was his favorite food and gulped it down." Local police responded immediately and said that, despite the fact that it looked old, the bomb remained active and could have been detonated. They suggested it may have been dropped by a fighter jet.
