Video: How to Release a 12-Foot Tiger Shark on the Beach
By Phil Bourjaily
Suppose you accidentally hook and land a 10- to 12-foot tiger shark while fishing off the beach and drag the huge predatory fish up onto the sand. What do you do next? The right thing, of course: you release it. What could possibly go wrong? After all, sharks only have roughly 3,000 very sharp teeth arranged in many rows in their mouths.
Incredibly enough, as this video, which has gone viral shows, nothing did go wrong for these anglers in Coral Bay, in Western Australia. The men managed to unhook the shark after covering its head with a towel, then dragged it back into the water so it could swim away.
