Latest Caption Contest Winner Announced

I have to say it was a monumental task digging through the slew of entries from our last caption contest. The woman in the photo is my wife sitting on a desolate beach near a salmon river in Alaska. Unfortunately for me, many of you thought she was a he. I've been "bearing" her wrath for putting it up for the past couple weeks now, but have been getting my jollies by redirecting her to your comments daily.
Out of the 239 comments there were quite a few laugh-out-loud captions and choosing was difficult, but in the end I had to give it to Capt. Koons who wrote, "Unfortunately, Jill Smith of Fishhead, Alaska wasted all her ammo writing in the dirt just before the grizzly appeared."
Capt. Koons email me at tim@anglingtrade.com with your shipping details and I'll alert the good people at Korkers to ship you out a pair of their Korkers Guide Wading Boots.

might want to take a cue from the other F&S caption contests and post a few of the others you thought were funny, honorable mention or something to redeem yourselves

Aw heck, Buckhunter is probably no different than me: he needs bifocals to tie a blood knot, and didn't have em on that day. We all know Ellie's a BABE and are still shaking our heads over how Tim scored on that one... :)

I am unhappy with the selected winner, not actually with the Capt. but with the caption. Waited for what seems like 2 months to find out the winner and I'm just disappointed. I have a feeling Mr. Romano was trying to save his arse here by selecting a caption that clearly announced the photographed person to be female when there were many more captions that were much more comical that defined the photographed as male. And Mr. Romano, what were you thinking? Putting a picture of your wife on the internet for the whole world to comment on? If you are in the doghouse, I'm not sorry for you, you should know better, this ones a no-brainer.
Some of you guy's are really something whining like you are . In front of the whole world come on grow up. this is one of the best blog's on here don't ruin it . congrad's to the winner . thank's for the chance to win from IOWA..
