The World's Strangest Trout
By Tim Romano
Looking for that special something for your favorite angler for the holidays? Do they have every mug, calendar, book, and widget that has to do with fishing? I bet they don't have a print of a Troutalope (Salvelinus pronghornii), or the Par Four Tout (Oncorynchus bogey)...
A post card with the print above found its way to my mailbox the other day from Deanna Camp over at elusivetrout.com and I must say I was intrigued. She's come up with some seriously strange fish species. She designs cards, calendars, and custom art that revolve around the world's "rarest" trout. Wander on over to her website and check them out.

haha i like it I always thought the side of a healthy trout was a work of art she took it a step further very cool and eye catching...
Many, Many thanks for the post! I DON'T have time on my hands, but I'm seriously committed to the idea of making people smile, exposing them to art and doing what I love to do! Stay tuned for the next 12 for 2012!
man that different i like
Those are very cool, the deadhead, pimped and quilted trout have patterns that are just real enough if it was hanging on a wall even a experienced trout fisherman would have to look twice. I can see the smile cross his face now after he reads the info about each trout! Very neat, will keep in mind since Christmas is just around the corner!
those would look very cool on the wall. very rare indeed.
Them troutalopes are plumb tasty, but y' gotta agree it is tough to get all the hair off'n the filets!
That looks awesome! Do you bowfish for Troutaloupe?
Another great tip from Tim. I just ordered myself one.
Haha. This is by far the weirdest fish ever. Muhaha. I hope to read more posts from you guys. This is my link by the way do drop me there a comment and let me know what you think about it http://www.sammaka.com/
