Fishing and Gun Photography, Not a Bad Way to Make a Living

By Tim Romano

A couple of weeks ago my buddy Will Rice sent me an interview he did with photographer Alex Landeen, one of the the guys behind fatguyfishing.com. Landeen also makes his living taking photographs of law enforcement, military, firearms, and of course, a little fishing.

In his words he "travels around flying in helicopters, riding in armored personnel carriers,  shooting large caliber weaponry, etc... not a bad way to pay the rent."

He loves fly fishing and makes his way out to Denver every year for the Carp Slam event to hang out, take pictures and do a little fishing. Over the years I've come to know Landeen a little and thought the Fly Talk crowd would get a kick out of the interview and some of his photo work.

Enjoy.

awesome picture the colors are so vivid and shown with the sun glare. Also, pretty cool way to make a living.
