Dimensions by Jeromy Holmes: One of a Kind Rifle Paint Jobs
By The Editors
So you have your rifle. There are many like it but this is your own. Now add a paint job by artist Jeromy Holmes and you can ensure no rifle will ever look the same as yours. And his work is not just for looks, it's functional beauty.

If it was painted with wildlife scenes instead of all of the "hard rock" type paintings ( that is what I call it) it probably would be nice. Looks like something a Zombie killer would have on his rifle.
That is a "go to hell" rifle alright. Is that sic or sick?
To each his/her own is what I say, certainly not for me. Kinda reminds me of a corvette chassis with a 72 ford truck body sitting on it, two things that don't belong together!
That was just one of their show pieces, they offer just about anything you want. The Field and Stream guy talked about his Mongolian hunter themed stock.
I like the paint job idea not this paint job in particular, though. Really he is doing what people request so obviously from his portfolio a lot of gun nuts have a skull fetish...
So he has two weeks in the thing but his price is comparatively low. $475 for a custom stock and $370 for a barreled action and only $65 for a single color. I think the guy works cheaper than I do.
"Rifle paint job" is a phrase that should never have been written for want of a use for it.
cool idea but lousy way to present it. looks like a gun straight from hell. I realize that't the point but it is not a gun I'd want to own. But put a bugling elk on one side and a 10 pt. whitetail on the other - then you got something to write home about.
I'm with Mike Diehl.
People can have whatever they want... But didn't we go through this a few weeks ago on this blog?

Looks real sporty for the zombie shootin' crowd.
If I got a rifle of mine painted, I would make sure that somewhere in plain sight it had the phrase "Because I'm forkin' stupid" on it.
That way, if I asked myself why I painted the rifle, I could look down and remind myself.
I was going to write something witty but I think I will stick with this and it ties in with something I posted the other day. The guy is providing something people want for a price they want or are willing to pay, kinda of like what a taxidermist or butcher or gunsmith does. If people want to paint the stock of their firearm or their car or put a tattoo on their bod, I could care less it doesn't affect me. There are a wide range of people who like firearms whether they look like a Marine or a Gother more power to them if they enjoy my sport and support my right and theirs. If they don't then leave me alone.
I have painted a few of my hunting guns, nothing like that though, just plain flat black enamel over a grey metal primer, mostly just to protect it from rust under hunting conditions and prevent glare from the sun reflecting off of metal and spooking game. Got the idea from the old painted British Enfields.
Good way to cover-up an old ugly stock, especially if you do it yourself.
Everything in 2012 is so cool ,, hopefully these fads will pass
Is that to be used on Zombies or by Zombies?!
I'm lost!
Egads! How about some curly maple and maybe wire inlays? This zombie stuff is just looney.
Good artist but not my taste in paint jobs. I am sure he is able to do any thing you ask for though.
my old college buddy painted a SWEET camo job on my Remington 710 and I couldn't have bought a better deal... learned it from the Marine Scout Sniper techniques. hehe :)
I wouldn't paint over any of my rifles because there are beauty marks in the stock that I can't buy anywhere.
In a sense I can see it. They did have a serial number of 666 for the rifle. I wonder if they would have done a Route 66 theme if the action had been 66. Or maybe a hunting theme if it had a serial of 3006.
