Montana Rifle Company's New Dangerous Game Rifle
By The Editors
This rifle looks plain, is built to last, and hits hard. How hard? Well, it's chambered for the horrifying 505 Gibbs, the appalling .406 Weatherby and the serious 416 Rigby. What more could you ask for from a dangerous game rifle? Get all the details here.

Finally a real rifle: wood stock, bolt action, & a serious caliber! Black plastic gets old pretty fast. This looks like an awesome piece of machinery! I hope you'll review the new Winchester 70 Alaskan rifles as well.
the bore looks like a 28 guage
I really don't see that they'll be selling a whole lot of these even at a remarkably affordable twenty-five hundred bucks (I'm being sarcastic). These are plain Jane guns designed for Cadillac hunters who can afford ultimate safaris. I find it hard to believe that those vanity types would want to be seen with a blue collar looking gun, no matter if the caliber is big enough to do the job.
What the hell is a .406 Weatherby? Somebody on the Gun Nut cracked his acorn....
Obviously a typo. Should be .416 Weatherby.
Or a .460 Weatherby.... Montana Rifles lists only a .460 Roy.
Yep, someone missed the boat (including me). I wonder if that is that the new gun manufacturer my brother told me is setting up a plant in Kalispell? Said he saw a new building going up with a sign but no specifics on the company. Apparently it will be the third gun manufacturer in town. That place will be the Hartford of the West. Oh, I see the company has been in Kalispell since the 1990s but they are looking for a machine shop foreman so perhaps expanding?
I'm pretty danged sure I know the president of the company. I'll have to ask Mike if it's the same guy.
Nice big bore Rifle, but I'll keep my Model 70 458. If I was in the market for a dangerous game rifle, I'd be more incline to find a Remington 798 in 458. Save yourself $1.5k.
