Started out making Sniperscope for SOCOM, very high quality in both markets!
This is insane. $3900??? Not a chance. Why would anyone spend $4k on this scope? You can get a Nightforce for $1500, US Optics for $2-2.5K, or a S&B for $3k. All these manufactures have been making this high end best available scopes for a long long time. Trijicon makes a good scope (I have 3) but they are nowhere near the level of these guys. Put a scope like this in the $1000 range it will sell (like the Accupoint). $4k is insane for this when others are way better and cheaper. Just my 0.02
No thanks, too big, not proven at long range. I'll take a $2500 price reduction and get a proven Nightforce and never look back.
Nightforce, U.S. Optics, Leupold and others have been performing extremely well in this application for $1000-$2000 for at least a decade. Other competitors are emerging below that price point. I am looking for competition to drive the price of these optics DOWN at this point, not UP. I'd be surprised if they outperformed Nightforce in any way; either long range accuracy or endurance.
I'd like to see a scientific side-by-side test of these long range optics. I'd be surprised to see more than a 1/4 inch of difference among them on a 1000 yard ten shot group. I'd sure be happy to conduct a scientific test if someone would supply me with some test scopes.
"It will do everything you want..." Really? For that price it better be able to recognize animals' heat signatures and tell me what made it. Know your gun, know your ammo, save a LOT of money.
I agree, way too expensive. Leupold, Nightforce, US Optics and Schmidt & Bender are proven in the field for this purpose and cost less.
I can appreciate fine quality as much as the next guy, but $3900 for a new unproven scope when there are so many excellent substitutes at significantly lower price points just doesn't make sense to my wallet. Nice to know what's new, though.
Wow looks and sounds cool. But $3900 for a scope, no way I would rather put that into a new gun or lots more ammo.
Didn't you guys read the article?
This one is "TACTICAL"!
Chuckles,
Oh, that's why... it's probably "Mil-Spec", too.
That should make spending $3900 easier.
According to the propaganda this thing is as tough as the ACOG line. If it can take enough beating to destroy the "competition" three times over and keep on a tickin' I'd say the price tag is proper.
