New Long-Range Rifle: FNH Ballista

This long-range precision rifle from FNH is packed with features from butt to barrel. The stock is collapsible and fully adjustable for comb, height, and cast. The rifle features both a grip safety and a safety on the striker. The trigger is adjustable from three to five pounds and can be set to double-stage or single-stage.
This gun also features a big picatinny rail, a fluted barrel, and muzzelbrake. The Ballista is available in .308, .300 Win. Mag, and .338 Lapua. The price is a cool $10,000.

Interesting concept. Pretty freaky gun though. Not very useful for much of anything except some kind of unusual situation target shooting. The thing is literally welded to the bench front and back so it seems to me to really be more the bench doing the shooting than the shooter. Spending ten grand for "unusual situation target shooting" seems a little on the excessive end of reality. To each there own I guess.
Also, an extended magazine on a rifle made for that kind of "unusual target shooting" purpose is just plain weird. Most guns used for long distance heavy caliber target shooting are single shot. Hmmmmm. Methinks this might just be a sniper gun prototype that no one really wants to label as such in the current environment.
