New Hunting Knife: SOG BladeLight Hunt

By The Editors

This 4-inch drop-point knife from SOG was one of the most innovative products of SHOT Show. It has a stainless steel blade and an injection-molded handle. The most intriguing feature is the six LED lights that give you 90 minutes of burn time. If you've ever found your deer after dark just as your headlamp batteries were dying, you'll fully appreciate the intelligent design of the SOG Bladelight Hunt.

I am just happy that the blade is not skinny like my Fallkniven F2, then I would be inclined to do something absurd like buying yet another hunting knife. With that said cleaning deer at night is something I routinely for myself and others so I do like the concept, I just use one of my lensor h7's and mostly a bucklite 110, the Forshner boning knife, the F2, gerber gator s30v, the havalon, or the newest blade the American made skinner by Old Hickory which came scary sharp for 15 bucks shipped. Now I see that the Ol' man got the swingblade which I do like, but at some point buying blades to "try them out" has got to come to an end. Or does it? Cheers from Arkansas. The shot show is one event I would love to check out.
