Great tip. I love the video tips, keep them up! Something I struggle with is determining when to fish a riffle. Good deep runs are easy to see, but when is it worth throwing a nymph in, or a dry over a nice riffle?
We have a lot of video in the can... you'll see more of this. We can do the double-haul, and talk riffles too. Keep hitting us with the topics you want covered. Tim & I basically make a shoot list then go hit the river for the day.
Obviously, this is the best time of year to be making video.
Show us how you cast to a rising trout straight upstream. I would imagine you would land your line to the side of the fish and the fly should land in front of the fish.
Show us how you land you fly onto the water before the line hits the water?
What steps should you take getting a big fish into the reel without losing the fish?
Tell us how Tim scored a girl like Ellie wearing a hat like that. Is she a big Gilligans Island fan?
Great tip... keep 'em coming! Thanks a lot. And it is nice to see you get fully dressed up for the occasion... as long as it has to do with fly fishing, you are in full uniform.

Nice tip, as usual, thanks. And it's a good thing he had those waders on....
Good tip Deet.
Deeter's a little scared of the dirt and rocks on the road. He has to have full ankle and shin protection always.
and Tim is scared of the sun, he needs the hat to protect him... (I win!)

I'd like to see one video a week on tips. No matter if you think you know it all there is always something new to learn. Thanks.
Great video tip, love to see a double haul video. Even after all the years I have spent fishing for bones, I still screw it up just at the wrong time.

Deeter's video on line pile / mending across a dirt road is priceless! He deserves all the flack he's taking! Seriously though...great tip, thanks.

Deeter, next video should be Spey casting (Double spey)
I got a new spey rod and want to see if I am doing it right.

You got it, little bro'... might not be the next video tip, but we have that Spey thing dialed. You'll see some Spey tricks in the near future...
