im with fliphuntr14 it looks like he tride almost as if he jumped on his back and slit its throat and if that deer wouldve attacked him like he claimed he wouldve been hurt very badly and i also agree with koldkut you cant even lightly kick a animal and im just talking anout a nudge without going to jail for animal crualty so why dont he go down for that if there are no charges pressed it just goes to show how hypocritical the law and other people can be and you would think that with all the witnesses that are there they could tell if it was self defense

How about Criminal Damage? As a pet it was the owner's property, and he "damaged" it, he trespassed by climbing the fence, and animal cruelty. That's three things he could have been charged with, not to mention Game and Fish laws/regulations [I'm a cop]

As many of you have pointed out already, Mr. No-brains has certainly trespassed and also took away a form of income for the family who owned the buck. I’m sure many families choose that campsite because of its “petting zoo”. All of these offenses are punishable by hefty fines and jail time in most states. If I crawled over your fenced in backyard just to get a closer look at your “cool” pet dog, and I then killed your pet dog without any justifiable cause I would not only be heftily fined but also jailed, even if only for a short while. So what is the definition of a Pet? I would certainly say even though this is a “wild” animal, because he was enclosed, and I’m sure the owners had proper paperwork to have the animal, that would qualify him as a pet. So in Indiana I can go and kill a person’s pet and there are minimal if any repercussions? Look out Pet owners in Indiana, or better yet, that neighbor’s dog that’s always barking in the middle of the night, now you know its okay for you to “handle” the situation as you see fit.

I live right down the road from there. I've gone into see how his antlers are growing from time to time to see how if the other bucks are shedding velvet etc. tis a shame indeed
