Washington Nudist Camp Tries to Halt Gun Range Construction

A Washington state nudist camp has filed a lawsuit to stop construction of a nearby public gun range.
From this story (via Outdoor Pressroom) in the Everett Herald:
A nudist recreation club is suing to stop a public gun range from being built along Sultan Basin Road, claiming that the state improperly agreed to transfer land for the range to Snohomish County. The state Board of Natural Resources in early December voted to reconvey 150 acres of forestland to Snohomish County for a future park. County officials said they wanted to use the site for a gun range and hoped to start initial planning this year. Lake Bronson Club and other neighbors in the rural area have opposed the county’s plan. They have concerns about noise and pollution. The club and one of its leaseholders, Dennis Potter, filed the suit Jan. 5 in King County Superior Court. “After discussion, the board of directors just felt it was in our best interest to do this,” the club’s secretary, Jodi Halfhill, said Monday. “We’re thinking it’s not a good idea to have a shooting range a mile away from a social camping club.”

They are worried that all men at the shooting range will have longer barrels than they do.
i think naked people tooting puts out more pollution than a gun range.
Lead in the pencil vs. lead on the range . . .
. . . either way, everyone's packing heat.
Depending on how the campers look and how close to the road they are, that gun range might get a heck of a lot of business.
mabye there trying to thin the nudist herd....
Kind of like human gun racks :-)
They are probably only outside about 2 months out of the year in WA's rainy crappy weather! Nudists in parkas?
Too funny!
And judging by the gross weight of the average Snohomish County female, it might not be a pretty sight. Someone might splash water on them while someone elses runs to call Sea World! Help, It's Shamu!

i think we should go to this camp and have a sit down with them and console their fears. maybe survey the place to make sure it's safe to put a gun range close by.
Nudism is a fun, healthy, freeing and wholesome way for men and women to socialize and live without clothes. Naturism is a philosophy that values simplicity and increased harmony with nature.

This would truly be the end of Concealed Carry
There's a simple solution. The Nudist camp can just pony up the $200 for the federal silencer tax stamp for each range member.
Problem solved.
As usual the range of comments on this subject run from stupid to total moron, with only one person giving any intelligent information. Lake Bronson has officially existed in that same location since 1938 and has never caused any problems for anyone. My mother and uncle grew up nearby and although they never visited this nudist club (nor were they nudists), they did have intelligent things to say about it, unlike those listed here.
Like my uncle I mentioned previously, I have been fishing, hunting, hiking and camping in the state of Washington since I was a child (born and raised here). As much as I enjoy the use of the shooting range I am a member of, as well as being a proud member of the NRA, I respect what these people are concerned about. If a stray round carries out of the vicinity of the shooting range (which it easily can) there is a chance of someone at LB getting hurt or worse. Use some sense and relocate elsewhere.
