Tigerfish Snatches Bird On The Wing

By Joe Cermele

If you haven't already seen this very short video somewhere on the Interwebs, it's definitely worth a watch. It's not the clearest video ever, but slowed down there's no mistaking the tigerfish nailing a bird on the wing. You know what I say? Grab one of Pat Cohen's eagle flies, perfect the shadow cast from "A River Runs Through It," and get yourself to Africa. There could be some serious game here.

Wow...that is amazing! That bird wasn't just puttering along. He was really moving. It takes some skill to do that. Timing and speed are crucial.

Imagine how fast you would have to strip your fly line to duplicate a flying bird? According to this video you can never strip your fly to fast. Or can you?
