Twenty Pounds Of Incidental Zander
By Joe Cermele
Zander, if you're unfamiliar, are Europe's equivalent of our walleyes. I don't know much about them, but I've met just enough anglers who fish on the other side of the big pond to know that they are apparently much harder to catch than walleyes, and big zander are a really big deal. Well, this is about the largest one I've ever seen. No idea what they're saying in the video, but I do know from the description that these guys were vertical jigging for catfish. So, as it often goes, you end up with the fish of a lifetime when you're not looking for it. They're calling this zander 20 pounds, and I'm not so sure I'd argue.
