Once, while turkey hunting, I looked down to see scores, perhaps hundreds, of tiny “seed” ticks scaling my pants legs. In much of the country, high tick numbers can be a source of utter agony for unprepared hunters, and the hordes are hungry well into bow seasons. Here’s one way of turning back the beasties. It only seems extreme if you’ve never been gnawed on my dozens of ticks at time.
