Florida Woman Assualts Ex-Boyfriend with Whitetail Mount

By Scott Bestul

In what must be the season’s strangest buck fight, a Florida woman recently used her ex-boyfriend’s whitetail mount as a weapon--against him! According to this story in the Tampa Bay Times, Chelsea Harrison and her ex-boyfriend got into an argument that caused Harrison to lock her door in an attempt to keep her ex-beau out of the home they share.

When Terry Nowakowski busted down the door and entered anyway, Harrison grabbed the shoulder mount of a whitetail deer and attacked, using the tines to jab Nowakowski in the face and body. Harrison has been charged with domestic battery.

I’ve jabbed my own hands with rattling antlers. I even slipped while dragging a buck and fell against the rack. Both of these mishaps hurt like heck. But to have a scorned woman come at you with tines brandished? All I can say is “Ouch!”

Good thing there were no swordfish mounts handy.

The boy must have been in full rut,to "bust down the door and entered anyway."
She was probably in heat too!

My wife wants to know if the ex-boy friend "got the point"? Sorry - could not resist the pun!

On a more serious note, he was lucky she grabbed a deer mount and not a loaded gun. Not sure if he was charged as well but I would think that she would have a good case for defending herself after he broke down a door to continue pursuit of her. Domestic disputes were always the most dangerous calls we would make - emotions are high and unpredictable.
