Maine - Belgrade Lakes
Salmon and trout are Maine's marquee fish, which means that bass fishing is overlooked and often first-rate. Some of the best is in the Belgrade Lakes region, west and north of Augusta off Interstate 95. Hit major lakes such as Cobbosseecontee and Messalonskee for largemouths, as well as numerous local ponds. Artificials-only rules apply through June 20.
