Fifty miles east of St. Louis, this reservoir is loaded with white bass measuring 12 inches and longer. To catch them, swim 1/4-ounce jigs dressed with 3-inch curly-tailed grubs along the bottom of the many 8- to 10-foot-deep flats as well as around the railroad bridge pilings in the middle of the lake.
