Q:The bass and the crappie are already spawning here in Indiana. Altough a few are still hunting. Are the bass spawning yet where you fish?

Fishing for Bass During the Spawn

Q:i live in south Georgia and the bass are in pre spawning patters. while fishing this morning i came upon the mother of all bass in this pond. the male was on the bed and was extremely easy to remove making the female more alert. but she would not bite. i tried everything from lizards to jerkbaits and never got anything. anyone have any advise? i call myself experienced but this fish has really got me off my game.

Fishing for Bass During the Spawn

Q:I know bass like to spawn on hard bottoms. But what if you are fishing in a smaller body of water like a farm pond or something with mostly just muddy silty bottoms? I know there is big fish in there because I have caught them but as always I would like to fish more effectively in these ponds. They have to spawn somewhere.
