Q:so when fishing nymphs your typical size flies are guna be somewhere between 18-22. hook ups can be fustrating with small hooks. I was thinking about solutions. One that seems simple is using a pliers to widen the hook gap. I know this may be inviting more snags but its the fastest way on stream to remedy the problem for finicky high pressure fish.

Q:I will be fishing a pond this weekend that is full of carp, I know that some of them are Asian carp, but there could be other kinds in there as well. I don't know much about fly fishing, but I wanted to try it out. Any tips?

Q:There is a lake behind my school that is full of carp. Some friends of mine took a boat out on the lake and carp started jumping everywhere and one landed in the boat. I think it was an asian carp, but I think there are other species of carp in the lake as well. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for how to catch them on a fly rod. I am new to fly fishing so any information would help.
