The Compound

What is everyone shooting?

Uploaded on May 26, 2009

I just got my first bow and it is The Rock by Diamond Archery. I am shooting the Beman ICS Hunter 340 with Tracer nocks and 100 grain Redhead Blackout broadheads. I wanted to know what everyone else is currently shooting and what you have shot and the pros and cons of each. The more information the better because I am just starting out and am already addicted.

I guess I'm a dinosaur.

High Country Sniper (1991). Still shooting Easton XX75's with a muzzy broadhead. Laugh if you want at my arcane setup; I've shot more deer with it than many bowhunters will in a lifetime.

I also have a Ross Cardiac, but I mostly hunt with my Howatt recurves... a 40# Hi-speed, and a 55# Mamba. The Mamba is what a carry most of the time.

I have been shooting the same PSE for about 10 years. I am with jay laugh but it still kills. No need to fix what isn't broken.

PSE X-force Dream season, phantom drop away rest, f-35 sights, Radial X-weave 300 Predator arrow, rage 2 blade. This set-up is awesome. Quiet, accurate, and it zips the arrows in there. PSE is on top of the market right now with their X-force series. Can't go wrong...

Im shooting a PSE Stinger its a nice bow for a smaller price Ive heard alot about the rage broad heads but i have a cheaper brand of a fixed blade and i completely hate them the first deer i shot this season the first with my bow survived the shot because the broadhead didnt inflict enough of a wound
