I am sure you have heard this a million times but in my opinion the top three are
Moss 500
remington 870
H&R
I use a mossberg and my wife uses a remington.
The H&R/NEF is only a single shot, but will beat practically any other slug gun in accuracy. Very affordable.
Remington 870 is in-expensive. Make sure you cantilever the scope and it will be on the money...
I know this is late and ammo is scarce (but its getting better), but if you have the money and time, do an internet search for shotgun slugs. There are several articles out there that describe the newest and best that are available and some of the articles have shooting test data.
Truth is even slug guns will show a preference for a particular brand/style of slug load, and it is always in your best interest to find the one that your particular weapon will shoot well. This will increase the odds of a successful hunt in your favor.
I use the New England Arms Pardner. Single shot 12 ga with a fully rifled barrel and a 4 power scope on it. I love it and have made some super shots with it. I took a buck 4 years ago with it in Minnesota at 125 yards, and it dropped like a stone.
