My Rem Model 700 in .22-250 groups tightly with 55 gr. Ballistic Tips but, at this writing, I'm having difficulty finding them on dealers shelves. I may have to send another order to Midway.

I use Hornadys for many varmint loads for p-dogs, coyotes and foxes:
Hornady 50g VMAX in .223 Bushmaster. They are relatively inexpensive and shoot better than any other .223 bullet I have tried so far. I'm getting less than 1/2 inch groups with my Bushmaster. My brother shoots the 40g VMAX with similar results.

I shoot the Hornady 75g JHP in my Weatherby 25-06 and it is my most accurate bullet in that rifle, consistently below 1/4 inch groups. I have had the bullet break up in the barrel at velocities above 3850 fps so I keep them below that speed.

I shoot the Hornady 110g JHP in my custom .300 Dakota and it is my most accurate bullet with groups below 1/10 inch.
I have had outstanding results from Hornady bullets across the range of bullets in many calibers. The AMAX is reputed to be phenominally accurate but I have achieved such great results with those mentioned above that I have not even tried them.

I like Hornady 50 grain V-Max in my 22-250. It is a Tikka T 3 Lite and on a good day for me I can put five in a small cloverleaf group.

My .22-250 will shoot 50 gr. V max with consistent accuracy, but the best group I ever attained was with 45 gr. Winchester factory. Three touching @ 200 yds.

I don't know with my age and trifocals if I can shoot even that good at 200 yards. I have a very good problem . All my guns shoot better than I can anymore. When I was 30 years old and shooting 500 rounds a week I used to brag on my shooting, but age has taken care of that. I guess that we all reach that point at some time.

After Lasik surgery my vision in my dominate eye is 20/20. That being said, the day I did that, I was having a VERY GOOD day. Not every day is as good. And yes, all of my rifles shoot a lot better than I do most of the time.

After 37 years shooting the 22-250 going back and forth on just about every bullet, I settled on the Hornady 22 Cal .224 55gr SP with cannelure. shoots less than dime size groups at 100 and it's like a bomb on coyotes and works excellent on White Tail & Mule Deer.

Item Number 2266
Ballistic Coefficient 0.235
Sectional Density 0.157
Price: $17.53
