The Firing Line
I have an old Remmy 1100 and a new Mossy 935. Both of my autos are really picky about 2 3/4 shells. Are there any that you know of that kick out really good?

Are there any SHELLS that you know of that kick out really good?**
To clarify, I'm looking for target loads for clays.
Sounds like you need poooooower, and that is too bad. Light, 1 0z loads work good for clays, and that is the direction clay shooting is going...BUT, you need a 1 1/8 oz maybe a 3 1/4 dram powder load. That's what to look at on the box...do I need 3 1/4 dram of powder load?..or will a 3 dram load work. Costs more for the 3 1/4 but that's the deal.
We couldn't get 1 1/8 oz to kick out. So my buddies broke out some 40 year old buck shot. Added to the challenge.
ByeBye,
Don't you have to flip an "O" ring over on a 1100, or do something like that to shoot light loads? The "O" ring on 11,000's were their problem, and had to be replaced in time as I remember.
And I was wrong to focus on the lead load, the powder load is the critical one, and would need to be 3 1/4 dram equivalant, and not a 3 dram load...and you may not see a 3 1/4 dram load less than 1 1/8 0z's of shot.
You probably need to replace the "O" ring and possibly the gas seals and clean out the gas ports. I shoot 7/8's oz and mine works fine.
You also should probably do a thorough take down and cleaning with Breakfree or Strikehold and Never spray lube into the action or trigger housing.
Sunday we had a family skeet shoot. Me, my dad, and my grandfater (he's old but still loves to shoot) all have 20ish year old 1100s. None of em would kick out. Niethere would my Mossy or my buddies Winchester Super X3
Somebodies passing around axle grease instead of gun oil...the Winchester Super X3 definitely should have worked. Your gun?..I'd guess a gunsmith needs to work on yours, and I'd guess it needs a new O ring.
I just picked up some 3.5 inch waterfowl shells, them'll kick out.
kickout your shoulder. Guys buy recoil reducers for light trap loads to prevent flinching. You must not shoot very much trap with that gun.
We do quite a bit, just we aren't the fancy type. We just like shootin stuff up! We'll go round and do crows this time of year.
ByeBye,
Agh, the Hatfields, and the McCoy types... modern day ones. You take it out on the crows, and not yourselves. :)
Thank you for sharing the post! I don't know it. http://www.simplyrest.com
