The Tip Board
One of my pets peeves is to encounter strips of plastic trail marking tape that remain in the woods year after year. I have been using an alternative that is effective, cheap, lightweight, and is biodegradable.
I always carry a "multi-purpose" roll of toilet paper when hunting and I have found that a few wraps of the tissue around a small tree or branch provides a highly visible waypoint marker that will survive a rainstorm or two but will eventually disappear on its own.
Dude just invest in a gps
There still seems to be a lot of folks out there that use tape to mark a quick route to a kill site - particularly when two or more people are shuttling meat back to camp and don't take the time to mark/check waypoints on their GPS.
