chea and easy decoy weights

Uploaded on December 03, 2012

if your like me you dont like to buy decoy weights, but a cheap, fast, and easy alternative is to use steal bolts. these are cheap and readily avalable. simply tie your decoy like to them and the keel and you have a cheap and effective decoy anchor.

my first set of dekes were rigged with 12# fishing line and a variety of weights: horseshoes, bolts, nuts, a few railroad spikes. What a mess! Steel weights eventually make rust stains on the dekes.
